Shraddha Prabhu Kumar

An IIT-Bombay MSc Mathematics alumna and qualified Chinese Language teacher who pioneered apartment composting, and is a long-standing core contributor to BNP's content and communications.
Shraddha combines intellectual excellence with profound civic action, holding an MSc in Mathematics from IIT-Bombay. Her professional background includes work as a software developer and trainer, and she is now a qualified Chinese Language teacher and a Bharatanatyam instructor.
Her local civic leadership is demonstrated by her:
– Setting up community composting of wet waste for her apartment complex back in 2009.
– Serving as the BAF representative for her apartment.
– Helping resolve civic issues within her ward by effectively collaborating with BBMP ward officers.
Within the BNP, Shraddha is a seasoned core member, having been part of the content and social media teams for many years. She was instrumental in creating content during the BNP website revamp in 2020-2021 and has regularly contributed to the BNP Weekly Roundup and Bengaluriga Bytes. She also helps organize key on-the-ground activities like Voter-ID camps within her ward.
