Drop-down for ‘BNP Corporator Teams’
- Corporator teams have been formed for every ward of Bengaluru.
- They comprise active citizens of the ward to want to have a say in the governance of the ward.
- The team will track civic issues within the ward and follow up with BBMP officials to resolve them,
- The corporator candidate for the BBMP election will be chosen from amongst the team by consensus.
- The team will constitute the ‘Ward Committee’ for the ward in the event that BNP win the ward.
BBMP lacks accountability, transparency and the will
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), and its council of 198 corporators, often remain unresponsive to the needs of the city and its citizens.
These corporators, who are affiliated to various state and national political parties, year after year, have promised much but delivered little. Many of them lack higher education, have no track record of experience, and often do not have the knowledge, wisdom or will to govern effectively. This has resulted in crores of precious tax-payer funds having been spent ineffectively, unwisely and even dishonestly.
BNP has set up , from which honest, capable and sincere corporators would be chosen to contest the BBMP elections. This would ensure a BBMP council which works in tandem with citizens and provide proactive governance in every ward.
